While it's tempting to share our food with our pets, some common human foods can be toxic to dogs and cats. Here's what you need to know.

Contains theobromine which pets cannot metabolize. Dark chocolate is most dangerous.
### 🧅 Onions & Garlic
Can cause anemia by damaging red blood cells. All forms (raw, cooked, powder) are harmful.
### 🍇 Grapes & Raisins
Can cause kidney failure, even in small amounts.
### 🥑 Avocado
Contains persin, toxic to many animals.
### 🍬 Xylitol (Artificial Sweetener)
Found in sugar-free products. Can cause liver failure and hypoglycemia.
### ☕ Caffeine
Found in coffee, tea, energy drinks. Can be fatal.
### 🥃 Alcohol
Even small amounts can cause serious problems.
### 🥜 Macadamia Nuts
Particularly toxic to dogs - causes weakness and vomiting.
## What to Do If Your Pet Eats Something Toxic
1. Stay calm
2. Remove any remaining toxic food
3. Note what they ate and how much
4. Contact your vet immediately
5. Do NOT induce vomiting unless instructed
