This is the story of Bantay, a local Aspin (Asong Pinoy) who went from surviving on the streets to becoming a beloved family member.
## Found on the Streets
Bantay was found wandering near Parkmall in 2023, thin and scared. A kind employee started leaving food for him, and slowly, he began to trust humans again.
## The Rescue
When Parkmall Pet Society launched, Bantay was one of the first dogs we helped. He received:
- Full veterinary checkup
- Vaccinations
- Deworming
- Lots of love and socialization
## Finding a Forever Home
The Santos family fell in love with Bantay at one of our adoption events. "He just looked at us with those eyes," recalls Mrs. Santos. "We knew he was meant to be ours."
## Life Now
Today, Bantay:
- Has his own bed (though he prefers the couch)
- Goes on daily walks at Parkmall's pet-friendly zones
- Has a best friend - the family's cat, Mingming
- Is the official greeter for anyone who visits
